The Herefordshire Gliding Club, based at Shobdon Airfield is a member of the British Gliding Association, and is pleased to support the development of women in gliding at Shobdon Airfield. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to soar above the spectacular north Herefordshire countryside, here is a perfect opportunity as we are joining with the BGA in supporting a special weekend for women.

INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT: Gift Voucher available at £99.00 (Note - Normal price £120)

The flight is in a tandem two seat glider with one of our approved pilots. The launch is behind a tow plane usually to 2,000 feet altitude. A typical flight time is fifteen to thirty minutes depending upon the weather.

The cost includes three months membership to entice you back to fly some more!

Please note that there is a weight restriction, fully clothed of 102kg (16 Stones 2lbs) and people taller than 1.9m (6'3") may have difficulty sitting comfortably in the glider. Those aged under 13 or 55kg may be required to sit in the rear seat.
